Providing the allergic consumer with the best outcomes requires strong collaboration and consistent communication from all food allergen management stakeholders. FAMS2017 provides a unique opportunity for industry, researchers, dieticians, clinicians and consumer groups to come together to address the needs of the food allergic consumer and will present collaborative and innovative approaches to harmonisation of food allergen management. The symposium offers the opportunity to cover food allergy from the clinical viewpoint, review pragmatic tools for management in the food industry, examine regulations and discuss the complexity of analysis,

Join Professor Steve Taylor (Food Allergy Research Resources Programme) Dr Kate Grimshaw (University of South Hampton, Professor Clare Mills (Professor of Molecular Allergology University of Manchester) and Dr Samuel Godefroy (University of Laval, Canada)as they present the most recent work pertaining to food allergy and tools for allergen management, both for the consumer and the food industry. Speakers Lisa Clark (Simplot) and Rob Antonic (DSFV) will share their insights and discuss the challenges of managing food allergens in the real world of food production from an Australian food industry view point.

Track the progress of the Allergen Bureau working groups and hear from the next generation of food scientists presenting their work in a quick time presentation round. Take the opportunity to hear from the AFGC on gluten free and catch up on a current critical issue for the international food industry - allergens where you least expect them.
